Solar Wave

The trickle of the ocean
Affects the waves in the sea
When I first met her
I knew not who she was to be.

In the silence of the night
She became the day
Creeping through twilight
Until dark had decayed.

A child I once knew
Her morals slowly evolving
Her broken heart beginning to be sewn
Her ideals, still growing.

This girl I knew
Is not the same I now know
Somehow she grew
Although it may not show.

What made her new?
What changed her light?
Could I have been dreaming
When her heart burned with polychromatic might?

I know not how it happened
That in this sea,
Somehow the ripple effect
Had begun to change me.

Her light spread to victims
As the sun warmed the sea
Her love had spread
To the very depths of me.

The sun rises over the ocean
Her light has attacked me
As my drop of water
Causes a wave in the sea.

I've been thinking about her a lot lately.

If anyone wants clarification on the ripple effect, I'd be glad to edit this and explain.

This isn't one of my better ones, but I just had to get this out there.
